when women claim that other women who share their interests don’t exist i roll my eyes because of course those women exist. My boss claimed that women who are interested in “sports and business” don’t exist and so she is only ever friends with men. Those women exist. women who are interested in video games exist. women who like to fight exist. women who love cars and know how to fix them exist. women who never want to have children and do not want to hear about your children exist. women who like math and science and the natural world exist. women who love coding and computer building exist. women who want to climb mountains and go to space exist. there are billions of women in the world and we exist in literally every sphere of interest, whether we are welcome there or not by the men who think they own it.

stop letting men tell you that women can’t or aren’t interested in certain things. stop letting your preconceived notions and small social circles convince you that women are a monolith. stop acting like men are more interesting or varied than women are.
